Don’t know your ring size? Here’s a way you can measure it at home!
- You'll need a non-stretchy string or a thin strip of paper (about 4-6 inches long), a pen or marker, and a ruler with millimeter measurements.
- Wrap the string or paper snugly around the base of the finger you want to measure. Make sure it's below the knuckle. Mark the exact point where the ends meet.
- Lay the string or paper flat and measure the distance from the starting end to your mark using the ruler in millimeters. This measurement is the circumference of your finger.
- Use an online ring size chart to convert your millimeter measurement to a standard US ring size.
Important Tips for Accuracy:
• Measure at the right time: Measure your finger at the end of the day when your fingers are typically at their largest.
Avoid measuring when your fingers are cold, as they can be smaller.
- Consider your knuckle: If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size that will slide over your knuckle comfortably but isn't too loose at the base.
- Measure multiple times: Take a few measurements at different times of the day to get a more accurate average.
- Account for band width: Wider bands tend to feel tighter, so you might consider going up half a size if you plan to wear a wide band.
- Measure the correct finger: Make sure you measure the specific finger on the hand where you intend to wear the ring, as finger sizes can vary between hands.
- String/paper should be snug: Ensure the string or paper is wrapped snugly but not too tightly around your finger.
